Please read this notice carefully and contact the relevant office well in advance for advice on your situation.
Non-EU citizens residing abroad
Non-EU citizens living outside Italy can only apply to the degree courses that have a reserved quota for non-EU students.
They must hand in their pre-enrolment form to the Italian diplomatic authority in their home country before the 24th July 2019
Please check with your Italian Embassy or Consulate the quotas and the documents required.
Candidates whose application has been accepted and who hold a study visa (Visto di ingresso per motivi di studio) must apply for permission to stay for study purposes (permesso di soggiorno per studio) at the police headquarters of their place of residence (Questura).
Applicants will have to sit for the Italian language test scheduled on the 2nd September 2019 as well as the admission test to the chosen degree programme. Those who pass the test will be admitted to the course up to the number of places available.

Application procedure
There are no admission quotas. Candidates apply to degree courses directly at the Università della Valle d’Aosta within the deadlines set by faculties. In addition to the documents normally required for application, they must produce the qualification granting access to the chosen degree course, accompanied by the following documents issued by the Italian diplomatic authority with territorial jurisdiction:
  • legal translation in Italian
  • authentication
  • “Dichiarazione di valore in loco” (an official document which provides a short description of a certain academic or professional qualification, awarded to a specific person by an institution belonging to an educational system other than the Italian one).
The aforesaid documents are not required when foreign qualifications have already gained full recognition in Italy.
Candidates whose application has been accepted must sit for an admission test. If they pass the test and they successfully rank in the limited placement list, they are entitled to enrolment.
