Accounts Office

Summary of activity

This office performs the following tasks:

  • pays the wages of permanent staff;
  • pays non-permanent staff (untenured teaching staff, occasional services, research associates, grant recipients and university board attendance fees);
  • pays bills;
  • fulfils fiscal, welfare and insurance obligations;
  • monitors and fulfils payment schedule;
  • maintains relationships with the Treasury;
  • handles the management and accounts of projects financed with EU funds (ESF, ERDF, ERASMUS…).
  • collaborates with the Head of Administration to prepare the budget;
  • draws up the final account;
  • monitors items on the budget;
  • prepares variations to the Budget;
  • supports head scientific researchers in preparing and managing the budgets of subcontracted activity;
  • supports and monitors the budget management of projects financed with European Union funds;
  • supports the Auditor’s Committee in monitoring operations.
