Laurea in Educational Sciences

Graduates in Education are qualified to work as educators in the following areas:

  • public and private bodies managing and/or providing social or healthcare services (at a residential, homecare and local level) provided for by Law 328/2000, for families, children, elderly people, prisoners, foreigners, nomads, as well as cultural, leisure and sport services (youth centres, libraries, multimedia libraries, playrooms, museums, etc.) and environmental education services (parks, ecomuseums, environment agencies, etc.);
  • as trainers or tutors in organizations providing professional and lifelong training in the public, private and private social sector, in businesses and professional associations;
  • nurseries and communities centres for children, pre-school, school and extra school services, parent support services and more generally childcare facilities;
  • activities as an environmental and cultural heritage educator with national and international, public and private institutions (regional boards and departments for cultural heritage, museums, galleries, libraries, archives, research foundations and institutes, natural parks and educational farms etc.) and with associations, cooperatives, companies and organizations involved in enhancing, promoting, using, protecting and preserving environmental and cultural heritage. In addition, graduates can find employment as mediators in local agencies whose aim is to preserve environmental and cultural heritage in all its forms, to develop the local territory through participatory management and to plan models for sustainable development.
