Ricercatrice in Letteratura Inglese
- Dipartimento di Scienze umane e sociali

is a full-time tenure-track researcher in English Literature at the Università della Valle d’Aosta, where she teaches courses in Literature and Culture (with a focus on Romanticism, Ecocriticism, and Mountain Literature); Nature, Texts and Culture; and English Language and Culture (including Business English and English for Tourism).

She also serves as the Erasmus and Internship Coordinator and is a member of the steering board of the university research center GREEN–univda.

She is the author of the books:

After earning a Ph.D. in Linguistic, Philological and Literary Sciences (with a specialization in English Studies) from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, she continued to teach there as a lecturer in English for Business and Finance (Master’s degree in Banking Sciences). Her doctoral thesis led to the publication of the volume King Lear dopo Shakespeare. Adattamenti, riscritture, burlesques (1681–1860), Aracne, 2013, which won the First Prize for Non-Fiction at the 2018 Literary International Award Lago Gerundo. From 2013 to 2017, she was coordinator of the English language courses for the Faculty of Linguistic Sciences and Foreign Literatures at UCSC.

Her research project dedicated to the author Alfred Edward Woodley Mason resulted in a published article, a critical edition, and the website www.aewmason.com.

She serves on the scientific board of the Intercultural Theatre series published by Ledizioni, and is a member of the editorial board of the top-tier academic journal Linguæ & – Journal of Modern Languages and Cultures. Since 2019, she has been a permanent member of the jury for the Literary International Award Lago Gerundo.

Since 2021, she has been organizing public engagement events as part of the Reading Mountains Festival, held for the International Mountain Day.

Roberta Grandi è ricercatrice full time di Letteratura Inglese presso l’Università della Valle d’Aosta dove insegna Letteratura e Cultura (con corsi su Romanticismo, Ecocritica e Letteratura di Montagna); Nature, Texts and Culture; Lingua e Cultura Inglese (Business English, English for Tourism), E’ referente Erasmus e Stage ed è membro del direttivo del centro di ricerca universitario GREEN-univda.

Dopo un dottorato in Scienze Linguistiche Filologiche e Letterarie (in Anglistica) ottenuto all’Università Cattolica di Milano, ha continuato a lavorarvi come docente di English for Business and Finance (Laurea Magistrale in Scienze Bancarie). Dalla sua tesi di dottorato è nato un volume, King Lear dopo Shakespeare. Adattamenti, riscritture, burlesques (1681-1860), Roma: Aracne, Collana Scritture d’Oltremanica, 2013, che ha vinto il primo premio per la saggistica nel 2018 del Premio Internazionale Lago Gerundo. Dal 2013 al 2017 è stata la coordinatrice delle esercitazioni di Lingua Inglese per la Facoltà di Scienze Linguistiche e Letterature Straniere (UCSC).

Fa parte del comitato scientifico della collana Teatro Interculturale – Intercultural Theatre della casa editrice Ledizioni ed è membro del comitato editoriale della rivista di fascia A Linguæ & – Rivista di lingue e culture moderne. Dal 2019 è membro stabile della giuria del premio Premio Internazionale Lago Gerundo.

Dal 2021 si occupa di organizzare eventi di terza missione e public engagement all’interno del festival Reading Mountains in occasione della Giornata Internazionale della Montagna.
